I’m looking forward to my presentation next week at the Gartner Data Center Summit in Las Vegas (Tuesday at 4:15 in Augustus 1 on the Emperor level). I’ll be talking on a topic that is near to the hearts of many IT professionals today, namely: how to solve the key problems associated with monitoring private clouds or virtualized environments.

Get the accompanying white paper: The Definitive Guide to Monitoring the Data Center, Virtualized Environments and the Cloud.
Private clouds and virtualized environments can’t be addressed with the same kinds of solutions used in the past to monitor data centers. The drivers behind a new approach to monitoring include the hyper-dense environment that we now deploy on, the flexible and highly variable nature of these environments (where even the hardware can change rapidly, much less the virtual environment), the business critical applications that deploy there and the extended requirements of supporting and connecting to these environments.
We’ll cover the key problems that service providers and enterprises encounter every day when they need to monitor and manage these environments, and look at best practice tips which you can apply while using Nimsoft, or other monitoring solutions.
