Nimsoft VMworld Highlights

We’ve just wrapped up a very successful week at VMworld, VMware’s signature event which draws thousands of people across various industries and job functions.

If you were at the event, you likely had a chance to connect with one of the Nimsoft / CA Technologies team members and also took note of our very exciting giveaway… a Ducati Monster 696 Motorcycle! Find some of the bike photos here on Facebook.

We also had two great presentations at the event. If you weren’t able to attend, you can check out John Michelsen’s presentation, Zen and the Art of IT Management, and Stephen Elliot’s Managing Vblock Based Services.

Here are some of our closing thoughts hot on the heels of VMworld 2012. Thanks for stopping by!

Event Takeaways

“I was able to speak to many people at VMworld, folks who use Box.net for file sharing and folks that turn to Sharepoint, and folks that have Salesforce as a CRM, and folks that use SAP. And it was amazing how clearly our choices in infrastructure management story allowed them to find the right solution for their infrastructure management needs, Nimsoft or CA Technologies. It was relatively easy to map a customer’s needs to the solution set.“ – Sam Fell

“It was great to have so many customers coming by the Nimsoft Booth to talk about their needs and how Nimsoft helps to solve the problems they encounter managing VMware environments. Flexpod, Vblock, vCloud and vSphere management and monitoring were hot topics. Even with the latest numbers – 60% of all server workloads virtualized, 80% of those on VMware – those same customers found they needed *not only* a deep visibility into VMware implementations, but also solutions for the operation of critical applications and their complete compute infrastructure. This directly validated the Nimsoft approach – providing end-to-end solutions for MSPs and enterprises to manage their critical infrastructure, no matter where it resides.” – Andy Kicklighter

“At VMWorld 2012, there is new excitement and buzz about software-defined data centers riding the wave of software-defined networking to address IT agility, programmability, flexibility and extensibility in heterogeneous Cloud private, public and Hybrid environments. From the various interactions at VMWorld with Nimsoft customers, VMware and their ecosystem partners, it is validated yet again that ITMaaS offerings from CA Nimsoft are critical to enterprises and xSPs to gain visibility of performance and availability, deliver dynamic analysis and SLAs of business critical applications, and automate services management for optimization of Cloud-based IT.” – Lax Sakalkale
